TX 2k13 Thread: March 13th - 17th, 2013

The announcements are going out, This year it's going to be a 5 day event!!!

Wednesday, March 15th - Sunday, March 17th, 2013.

For those that don't quite know WTF "TX 2k" is... Since the 90's Supras all over North America have been coming to Houston, TX during Spring Break and turning Houston's Freeways into one big playground - It was called "Supra Nationals"

Over the years other cars had gotten into the act and it pretty much became the "Super Bowl" of Street Racing. By 2001 the name was changed to TX 2k (insert year here) i.e. TX 2k1, TX 2k2, TX 2k3, TX 2k4, etc. Below is some footage from TX 2k12.

Folks from all over North America drive (or tow) to Houston for "Car Guy Spring Break" - If you're not pushing at least 200 at the wheels, Stay home or catch a ride with someone who is. I know good and damned well we got some guys on here that can keep up out here. Last year there were a group of S-Chassis' from Louisiana and....it didn't work out too well for them.

Anybody down?

That's how much I'm pushing to the wheels stock - 270 before the giggle, You'll be fine. With the giggle on I'm good for 380-400.

Lots of folks out there with more money then sense - Heavy ass, autotragic, new muscle for miles. I had a field day last year between those, Hondas and, the gang of SR/KA-Ts from LA......think they were from NOLA.

Umm. I think you meant to say if you dont have a 1000+hp stay home lol. Ur average car there makes 900-1000whp, Then you have the bad boy lambos 1500-2000whp. If all works out, I wanna go after it this year

I have some friends from Arkansas bring some SVT Power, 800hp 04 Cobra, 2 900hp Lightnings, and a twin turbo 2010 Cobra (have no idea the numbers). Last year they were all put to shame by a orange G8 and a Gray Supra. The Horse Power at these events are crazy.

I was talking about the NIGHTLY activities lol - I can't even show my face in the daytime there, None of us can.

I was out there at night in the Z last year and, I held my own.

Looks like we'll need to organize a meet this year...
