Does the SR have a distributor? If so, an engine can be hard to crank and hard top start if the timing is way off. We'll also run like crap.

SRs use coilpacks. The thing that would be throwing off the timing/making things run rich would be a bad cam angle sensor. I've been hesitant to replace it because of how pricy they are, but I need to give that a shot.

Why not hook a timing light up and check the timing. See if it jumps around erratically or something. You can also clip it to each plug wire and make sure they are all firing consistently.

Timing was already mechanically set with the CAS, and checked with a timing light hooked up to a plug wire. I have a new CAS coming in on Wednesday; will post updates once installed.
