Cant find key code!!!

so i bought my car with no keys because the steering column cylinder is literally gone and was wired to a push start but i want keys to lock and unlock the doors. called local dealership and they said that the vin was no longer in the system but to check the door jams, glove box, under the ashtray, and under the arm rest for a key code but i couldn't find anything. where do i go from here? ive heard of taking the glove box cylinder off and taking it to a locksmith but will that work? thanks h240 and sorry if im in the wrong area. please tell me if i am

Yes! Take it to a locksmith but I would just remove the hatch lock cylinder and have a key made.

There are only 12 240sx keys between the 1989 and 1994 year models. Good luck with your find.

Sorry to thread jack, but does this apply to S14s as well?
I recently picked up a cool 300zx replica key for my 240, and I wasn't to get a copy made but the original one I have is extremely washed to even get a copy.
Thanks
