Thanks guys. The ka and tranny were sold to a friend before it was even out of my car.
That's a sick ls rx7 you've got tdi_hatch. Saw it at an rx7 meet at gabby's BBQ sometime last summer I think when I still had my FC.

about $4500 so far, not counting the car of course and doing 100% of the work myself

a few updates. got the innovate LC-1 wideband in the car along with the Nissan datascan software setup and working. i had 2 issues i was trying to work out. 1 was that i was overboosting and triggering rich and retard mode, about 10 psi till about 5000 rpm then the car would pretty much stop pulling and boost would climb. Turns out my split downpipe was causing too much restriction and the wastegate wasnt releasing enough air. Removing the splitter piece from the downpipe fixed that issue completely. The other is that it looks like i'm now maxing out the MAF causing the ignition and fuel cut.
a few pictures....
innovate LC-1 and logworks software

Nissan Datascan

I'll get some video up later this week or this weekend

Innovate LC-1 shit is expensive.

hahaha. The size makes it perfect for this IMO.

Another little update.
I had noticeD the car was pulling timing down to about 5 degrees btdc from about 4500 to 6000 rpm then back to about 23 degrees by 7000 rpm. Decided to swap out the bosch platinums that were in it with some ngk bcpr6es copper plugs. Now timing was only being pulled to about 15 degrees. So I oredered some colder bcpr7es plugs. Made a world of difference. Timing stays steady at 23 degrees all the way through. And my water temp is cooler now as well.
