Krimlin's remotovational build (actually making progress now)

I bought this car August of 2007 for a nice $5,000 and have kept it in good condition and running good till a nice drift event at Gulf Greyhound Park in the Houston area back in June, blew up the KA.

The reason I picked the VH45 was because I wanted something to do, and had way more money than I needed, well now I'm broke lol. So I'm sitting at work one night bored as hell and my buddy posted his VH45 for sale and I worked some figures and budgeted a bit and bought the motor the next night for $700, and then the nightmare starts.

I bought the motor in November, and the search for parts begun I ended up with the Mazworx kit which turned out to be dildos, and customer service was about as good as their work... Then since I'm fkn lazy with no fab skills and was in the middle of college I had Secret Services Auto install the motor. So after getting what I thought was 90% of the parts together I sent the car off to SSA in Febuary, calls start coming in "hey dude you're missing this part, and your Mazworx wiring harness still isn't in..." After getting all the parts ordered and installed and what not I picked the car up yesterday...

The trip began with a tire change cause the tires on there were shot to shit, so I moved the fronts to the trunk and the rears to the front cause they still had thread left, and my MB Battles to the rear...

Cut a hole in the hood to clear the motor (hence the Mazworx kit being dildos) slapped the hood on, put my ear muffs on (No exhaust, open headers) and the trip began. Took our first exit on the toll road and smoke began pouring out the back and I was like WTF? Pulled over and saw the fat ass tires were boiling down from rubbing the coilovers... Hopped in my dad's car called a Discount (fkn rape on prices) got directions, and headed out still driving my car made it off the toll road and the fun began...

Hit our first red light and noticed the neighborhood no longer had "neighbor" in the word, and here comes the hissing noise and it got louder and the tire went. so we pulled in a McDonalds went got the new smaller tires (old ones were 215/65/16 on a stock SE rims, and we got 205/45/16 which are damn rubber bands on SE rims) get back change the tire and head out, which is when the problems really start.

Get going again on the toll road and it starts to over heat, fail. I'm guessing the thermostat is out so we're leap frogging down the highway make it about 20 miles, and sat there till it cooled down started it back up and the revs to about 5k rpms and sits there, more fail... I'm lost at that time thinking possible vaccum leak pissed off... Called a buddy that drive tow trucks and sat there for about 5 hours waiting for him to get time for a freebie tow make it back and dropped the car off at a friends house so he could work on it for free (finall got a break with all the freebies made my day) then stopped at a gas station to get some money to hook my tow truck driver friend a tip and gas money, hop out the car and locked the damn keys in the car (at this point I've been up for about 40+ hours and am hallucinating) so my towing buddy had a lock out kit payed him and went home...

MAN this is the reason i don't bring out my sorry ass 240 with the day ass shitty bondo i tried to do and just f-ed it up cause i haven't done body work in years. Iam absolutely JEALOUS of the identical restored version of my 240. Ahh i need more cash for the rear panels from the door back is f-ed. I have a guy with a good running vq45 that wants me to get it off his hands. I need it in my s14. Let me know how this goes. If my damn car wasn't so embarrassing i would love to go out to ggp and watch your car. I will still go to ggp on the 1/31/09 to see this amazing feat of a car. I HATE TO SAY IT MAN BUT YOUR STEALING MY DREAMS! But i wish you all the luck and would love incite when it come my turn to do this.

Hey man i want the ka distributor cap all the way down to the gear, Plug wires. ?? and pm me a ka part list of what ya gettin rid of. I need the ka to run good for now and may builld it later once puttin in my VH45.

Do yourself a favor and stop caring what your car looks like. More than the majority of our cars are works in progress so don't sweat the stage you're in now. Keep your eye on the goal and take your time getting there. I've been to a meet with my car all done up and I spent more time admiring this one guys charcoal grey coupe with Stern wheels that was just so nicely done than to notice 5 people around my car going "OMGZOR" over my motor. He didn't even have anything done, just a nice clean stock KA and drop springs.

If anyone gives you shit because you don't have the right offset, the right kit, the right whatever it's on you to stand firm in what you like. If someone gives you an opinion have the integrity to accept someone not liking it, but don't be hurt because you built the car for you, not them. I gave Gwar a little flack about his lights but I only said it clashed with his color, but gave him pointers on what I thought may work better. As dumb as he gets sometimes, he at least had the balls to say it's what he likes, and didn't care what we thought.

HAHA i feel ya on that man i should i just need to fix the bondo for real more than anything for appearance. Other than that it is all stock down to the wheels. IT sat for five years.
