UTI, but i wouldn't say its a "good" school. Just good luck trying to find a job in Houston with a degree from UTI.

no what you shoulda said was.

if your wanting to go to UTI, make sure your ready to throw your money away.

ps if your tryingto get into machining, UTI is NOT the answer.

The only thing good about UTI is the facilities. The facilities are BALLER. Other than that then you WILL NOT find a job from this area for a few years after you graduate. Not to mention unless you are a ward of the state or someone that has ridiculous financial aid then you will end up in debt for the rest of your natural life. When I was looking at going it was $26k and the interest was like 33%. Its fucking retarded.

San jac has an excelent automotive program. I graduated from there and i was able to get a job at Toyota right after. The Honda teacher (David castillo) is a bad ass and knows his shit forwards and backwards, and the Toyota program is very reputible and will help you find a job at a dealership. You should check it out. They make learning fun.

P.S. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than UTI and more guderer

nacho_nismo It always helps to double check your product
I worked 3 years at toyota. and im going on almost a year at lexus. here at lexus nobody went to UTI, and only like 1 kid to san jac. at toyota all the UTI kids stayed as porters, and eventually quit. the san jac kids actually moved up and did great.

i didnt go to school, so i think if you got it in you no matter what school you go to you will do it. if you dont, you can go to any school and will fail. save some cash

True story. There's a couple guys here that graduated from uti and went back to San jac because they didn't learn what they needed to at uti. And we have a porter from uti too.

SAM is a really good school, Judd has a huge amount of experience in racing engines and you'll learn alot if you go there with the right attitude. SAM has alumni in every single NASCAR and NHRA Pro Stock engine shop, and that's saying something. I work with SAM students and graduates nearly every day, and the one's who are truly interested in learning end up going a long way in the professional world. If you want to learn how to build RACE engines, there's no better school than SAM that I know of.
