Heater Hose Hook up?

Ka24e 89 Coupe

Ok so been searching and havent found what i need so i need some help.....Bought the car, previous owner took out heater hoses. Its cold and im trying to figure out where these hoses go. Top hose on fire wall goes down and hooks up to engine block. I got that part. As for ther bottom hose. It hooks up under the intake mani. Their are two ports next to each other right where the bottom radiator hose hooks up...........When i bought the car those two ports that are next to each other were just looped to each other. My question is which port does the bottom hose hook up to and what do i do about the other port. Does it need a hose running to something else or do i just plug it.

Does no one have a s13 ka with heater hoses. If ya have one could ya go look for me. Itll probably be easier to find out how to build a time machine than it is to find where these hoses go.

1- If you want to make it look like factory= research since I don't have the actual answer

2- If you just want it to work= It does not matter as long as one of them goes directly to the heater core and the other one through the heater control valve and then to the heater core.

3- If you are buying the hoses from Nissan (you should) they are pre-shaped and will only fit one way, so you could find the answer right there. Or you could go to Nico and download the FSM for your car and get the answer yourself.

I was gonna say look at the FSM but im not sure its gonna tell you where those hoses go..One goes to the big 90 degree nipple on the side of the block and the other should be behind the water neck. Theres also a throttle body looking thing that goes between one of the lines, might be ok without it, not 100% though.

Ok thanks. I searched and couldnt come up with right diagram or pics (mostly just swaps, or pictures of random stuff in hopes of seeing where hoses go), asked mechanics, they couldnt tell me but thanks for the help. I did read some stuff that lead me to the right area....the (U) shapped hose on the pic above is the one i thought was it. I took (U hose) out plugged one side and ran other to fire wall. Ended up just over heating the car and wasting coolent. Was close tho......... Imma do wat Munki's pics says and hope it works.

There should be a copper/metal looking hardline under your intake manifold, towards the back of the hard line is where you should be connecting the 2nd hose. If you don't have that hard line anymore you might have to route a much longer line all the way to the front of the engine...

And the pic i posted is from a parts catalog, sometimes you can't find what you need in the FSM so you gotta just look online for pages from the parts catalogs. Those have helped me anlot on several cars when the FSM did jack shit for me...

just go to your local auto parts store and buy some 5/8" heater hose.
I would get 3' just to be safe.
and bypass the coolant lines running to the throttle body.
and your done.
