Kenda Tires Racer Program for the Fabricated Motorsports Drift Events

Can someone sticky this : )

I am proud to announce the 2011 Kenda Tires Racer Program for our Texas series. To participate in this, you need to drive at FM events. Basically we have special racer prices for our drift tires, so you guys can afford to drive more.

So first of all, what are Kenda Tires? They have been very competitive in Motocross racing for some time I hear, and last year they got into drifting. Several drifters around the country starting using them, including the Canadian series champ, Matt Waldin. I watched him use the 265/35/18 Kendas at XDC Jersey and win, so they clearly work well enough for local events. I was chatting with Matt, and he said they had both more grip, and lasted far longer than the Nexens everyone has been running lately.

So without any further suspense, download this form and order yourself some tires! The prices include shipping costs, which typically are about 20 bucks a tire, so factor that into the total cost. So the 265/35/18 costs 127.79 shipped, while internet pricing on a 275/35/18 Dunlop DZ101 runs around 160-180 before shipping. I just toss that off the top of my head because that is a comparable tire. So start ordering them as soon as you want, just make sure to tell them you drive at Fabricated Motorsports Drift events in Texas. I get no commission off of any sales, I just want to state that. I set this up only to help you dudes out so you can drive more.

Awesome, Chris and I were running Kenda Kaisers for about the last year in Japan. I can tell you first hand you will be happy with what you get!

Kenda tire rep came to our shop today, apparently the key to their long "drift life" is the fact that they DONT use a silica based compound in their tire. However they are kind of lacking when it comes to sidewall life, I cant explain why but the representative sounded like he knew his shit.

Too bad I can get Federal SS595's for like 30% less than all of those prices lol

haha I assure you thats what I was thinking when he first said it lol

Granted I wasn't FULLY paying attention but he was saying something about the strength of the sidewall during stressful situations such as a low tire pressure, or lateral g's like in drifting or any extreme cornering.

sidewall life?? hahahahah most of our cars are rubbing everywhere so the sidewall ends up being rubbed off anyways.

sidewall life just sounds funny. "My tread is pretty much worn out but I have 100% sidewall left!" hahah

Well I think that is what the guy meant. Saying that the Kenda Tires sidewall isn't as strong as some other competitors.
