so long as I don't break it my skid racer is always running. I rarely use it, especially for skids, but it's there...rotting in the driveway.

I thought about it, but between not being able to directly talk to the owner, a rumored price, and me coming up with better things to do with my money... I really believe there is potential for this site to attract users again, but an investment other than the purchase would have to be made.

Yes I know the feeling. I will never understand the owners lack of willingness to sell out the site, but also lack of interest to keep the site going....wouldn't the best way to make the site more profitable(thus able to ask for more money) is by making it more popular? I mean let's face it this old 2012? theme and version of vbullitin is helping no one.

rawgarage 09-28-2016 02:14 AM

Yes def needs an update....

But hey even zilvia is getting bot slammed...

XMcEvilson 09-28-2016 05:09 AM

I don't really get tripped out on how other people run their site. If you can do it better, wouldn't you rather start and grow your own?

z31dude 09-28-2016 11:05 AM

Well, Facebook is really the only thing fucking up all the car forums.

You mean like everyone's cars???

dekansnowman 09-29-2016 10:46 AM

So let this site die, and then make another. Send everyone invites and be done with it. The owner isn't going to do anything because he's getting money every month with zero effort put in. Once traffic dies, then he will realize the deposits aren't being made and advertisers aren't renewing their deals.

angrycarrot 09-29-2016 12:06 PM

oh this thread :)

XMcEvilson 09-29-2016 04:05 PM

you have to know what s14 means to register. I don't think the goal is open the floodgates and rework the site for max ad revenue.

honestly I am tempted to make a new site. Any ideas on names?

Really I want a site that integrates fb, like vbulliten does automatically, if you update...

I guess the whole reason I never felt like making a new site was I was holding on to the old one too much. Damn all that nostalgia. Well that and the fact I went off the grid(kinda) this is the only way to keep in contact with a few folks.

jackasspyro2 09-29-2016 05:42 PM

seems to be around 200-500 to start a site from scratch. That includes forum software, hosting, and domain name services. Need to shop around to see if I can beat that. These are just rough numbers start from vbulletin, because it is what I am most familiar with but I am willing to learn something new.

dragonWraith 09-29-2016 11:27 PM

Yeah this is a sinking ship let it go down don't make a movie about it and move on.

Please do!!
I bet Trying to revive this side is harder than start a new one.
Maybe more drift oriented and just don't use a car name as the domain.

z31dude 10-05-2016 06:48 PM
