Smell it...

It will either smell like:

1. Fuel (running rich)
2. Exhaust (condensation)
3. Oily (turbo / rings)
4. Sweet (headgasket)

Typically ... synthetic oil tends to burn while with a sometimes blueish haze. Fuel can cause excessive condensation on humid days, and coolant burns white.

Does your car idle rough or run poorly?

Consume any oil?

SR motor?

If so I'd suspect the turbocharger.

Compression would only allude to a headgasket issue.

Compression would prolly look like this.

150 / 150 / 60 / 60

also do you have a turbo timer? what your dealing with could be oil that didnt cool down and melted to the inside of the turbo. when this oil gets burned off and blows out the exhaust you get hte white smoke. this is what it sounds like in my opinion. either that or your turbo is just crapping out :dunno

see if there is any oil in the intake if there is your turbo will need new seals
