so i got my car back from getting the motor rebuilt a few days ago and it doesnt run all that good. When the car is parked and you step on the gas, right around 3300 to 4000 rpm is will start to back fire, not flames or anything like that just make popping noises alot. when im driving it, it will start to bog and jerk around at this rpm. it doesnt always do it, in fact, it usually doesnt. if i accelerate harder than normal it usually wont do it, but if its slow and if its in a gear that you stay in longer like 4th or 5th it will do it alot more than in 2nd or 3rd. the spark plugs tell me that its running lean but it still shoots flames. it also doesnt hold boost for shit. if im in 5th and give it gas (not floor it, cause the engines new) it will easily hit about .7 bar at around 3300rpm but will quickly drop down to about .3 at about 3800 even if more gas is applied. i checked all vaccum lines and anyhthing else that could leak. i got a new fuel filter and that helped a very very little bit. anyone no wtf's going on and how to fix it?

initial what?

oxygen sensor(s) in good shape? check the intake manifold gaskets for leaks as well. let the engine run and spray around the manifold mating surfaces and all vacuum fittings and such with starting fluid or brake cleaner.. anything highly flammable. ;)
if you've got a leak somewhere, you'll find it quickly that way.

i was thinking it may be a temp sensor. since it does it more when its hot, the temp sensor may be messed up and giving off a false reading. the ecu may be making the motor run weird do to this. i dunno.....
also, which would you guys reccomend for tuning. emanage or s-afc. thanks
